Heather and I were introduced literally the day Brody died. Her daughter, Laura Caroline, was stillborn in September of 2007. My sister had remembered that a friend of hers had a best friend with a similar experience. Kristina contacted Heather and from there, Heather guided her on what needed to happen once we got to the hospital. Her information was vital in our experience delivering and saying goodbye to Brody. Heather also took the time to speak with me during the first days after loss, and we finally met just a couple weeks ago. I'm so thankful for her transparency and her openness to talk about her story. I love hearing the perspective of those who are far from loss. Heather is 15 years out and the experiences she's had over the course of those years helps us who are new at this so much. She gives a message of hope, inspiration, love, and support. Listen to her discuss how she got to the point of accepting grief and love at the same time, her relationship with her husband, her friendships and what's next after 15 years of grieving her only daughter. NOTE: These are MY thoughts, experiences and opinions. By no means am I telling anyone what to do, what's right or wrong, or how to handle grief or trauma. This is my real life, and I'm putting it out there so you feel less alone. ************************************* For more REAL TALK about baby loss and grief, hit subscribe to be notified when another video drops!
