Living the Loss Life

Jennifer: Accelerated Resolution Therapy

Episode Summary

Jennifer is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 15 years of experience who specializes in treating PTSD/trauma, addiction and couples counseling. She is certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) which is an evidenced based therapy to treat past trauma. ART provides immediate relief of past trauma by reducing negative images, sensations and symptoms allowing you to start healing. I personally sought out Jennifer's help here in Atlanta when my OB gave me her information to try to help with my trauma from the death & stillbirth of my son as well as the emergency life saving surgery I underwent after delivery. It was life changing. Here, Jennifer breaks down what it means to get actual good help in therapy. She also breaks down how this therapy works & what to expect. We have to give ourselves permission to feel better. To try to heal from our trauma & be able to cope with the pain that severe loss brings. I open up about my own personal journey in this episode.
